What is Acupuncture?

Acupuncture is a centuries-old Chinese medicine practice involving the painless insertion of hair-thin one-time use, disposable needles into distinct points along superficial pathways on the body. This stimulates the flow of "qi" (pronounced "chee") which is the body's vital energy. When our body's energy is flowing smoothly, the body is able to heal itself and return to a state of balance. According to Chinese Medicine, this equilibrium is essential to achieving a state of optimal health and wellbeing.

As acupuncture restores the smooth flow of "qi",it treats emotional and spiritual imbalances as well as all forms of dis-ease. Acupuncture sessions are extremely relaxing, restorative and energy-enhancing. While relief can be experienced in a single session, acupuncture results are cumulative. Therefore, for optimal benefit, a series of sessions is recommended.

Acupuncture returns the body to its
natural state of balance and harmony, promoting its ability to heal itself.

Is Acupuncture Safe?

Yes. Acupuncture is used by millions of Americans every year. Acupuncturists are required to undergo extensive education, including detailed study of human anatomy and training in Clean Needle Technique. I have passed comprehensive national board examinations administered by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM) and am licensed by the state. As required by law, I use pre-sterilized, disposable, single-use needles to ensure your complete safety.
